With electronic distractions, personal obligations, family needs, and injustice across the land, how can we notice what’s here in this moment? Attention is like water, a poet says. It slips away from us. Yet over time the practice of noticing can soften our hearts, dissolve distractions, give reassurance to others, and promote peace. Attention is a scarce resource, and a renewable one.
