It’s a paradox:  American society was structured by men to give power to males, but men and boys have suffered horribly from isolation, anxiety, depression, addiction, physical illnesses, and criminality. This has led to violence against others and themselves.  Cultural stereotypes about masculinity choke male development–and hurts everyone.  How can we be a force for healing?
