Rev. Sangye is the lead minister of the Sierra Foothills Unitarian Universalists, in Auburn. She was ordained by UUSS and the UU Fellowship of Santa Cruz County in 2021.  She believes now is not the time for UUs to isolate but to connect with each other to share in the abundance of wisdom each congregation has to offer, not just to their local communities, but to the wider world. A graduate of UC Berkeley and Starr King School for the Ministry, she is a California historian, mother and grandmother. A Tibetan Buddhist,  Rev. Sangye brings what she calls Unitarian Universalist Dharma to her ministry, sharing practices and insights to navigate today’s challenges and awaken the Emergent Buddha within to transform and liberate our world.
