Dear Parkway Stewards,
On a beautiful Saturday, this past April 20th, with other Stewards out doing fun stuff after some good rain earlier in the week, a small crew pictured above went out and did an early morning trash clean up of our UU Mile. Much appreciation for you guys and gals” efforts. Afterwards, we went to Panera and had some good conversation over coffee.
Our next clean up is scheduled for Saturday, May 11th with an 8:45 am arrival and an hour of work from 9 to 10 am. Please come out and help keep our American River Parkway UU Mile clean for the many people who walk and bike the area near the Northrop Access. Joyce Ownbey will be there that day substituting for me as Mile Steward with assistance from Catherine O’Brien. We look forward to you seeing you….

You have reminded me how I can choose to take responsibility by picking,, up trash while I am on a stroll through my neighborhood, at a park, or enjoying the river having a picnic. That’s one way to show my love and appreciation to Mother Earth for all she provides.
