Finding Light On The Parkway, Thursday, April 9, 2020

Hi, Folks,

I guess I’m a little jealous of river otters right now.  They’ve always had to wash their hands a lot, but they have no need of social distancing, they don’t have to wear face masks, they still go out for breakfast, lunch and dinner if they wish, and they’re still just as playful now as they were before.

We don’t have the freedom of otters today; but if we’re careful, we can still safely get out and enjoy the many benefits of being close to nature.  Making the case well for getting “out there”, here’s a link to an article titled “More than ever, we need nature.  It makes us and our children happier”.

Despite our limitations, here’s hoping you’re able to find a way to experience joy in nature in this day.  No need to be in a kayak watching otters nuzzle.  It may be as easy as getting nose to petal with one flower blossoming just outside your door.
