We’d like to introduce you to our new Sacramento ACT Organizer Ms. Telitha Floyd!

We invite you to join us at from 10 a.m. – Noon on September 26 to meet her and to walk (socially distanced, wearing masks) West Arden Arcade to distribute flyers inviting community members to the County’s next Re-Envision West Arden Arcade design workshop and for our last push to get residents of West Arden Arcade to submit their Census 2020 before the September 30th deadline.

We hope you can join us!

  1. Hi Linda!
The physical boundaries of County-designated West Arden Arcade Environment Justice Community do still include your area. They are: North – Highway 80, West – Howe Avenue, East – Watt Avenue, and South – Fair Oaks Blvd./Northrup.
The County got a grant to develop a long-term transportation and land use plan for a southern piece of this Environmental Justice Community: the area bounded by North: Cottage Way, West Howe Ave., South – Northrup, and East Watt Avenue. This project for this piece of West Arden Arcade is called the “Re-Envision West Arden Arcade.”
Because this plan will involve transportation and land use issues such as economic development, affordable housing and or other ideas people would like to see in their community it definitely affects people in neighborhoods adjoining the project boundaries. We encourage you and others who care about this community to join in one or both of the County’s next listening sessions to let the County’s consultant and County staff know what you would like to see in this community.
These County listening sessions will be by Zoom meeting on Monday, October 5, from 5-7 p.m. and Thursday, October 8 from 5-7:30 p.m. We will have flyers and Zoom connection tomorrow and will post as soon as we get them.
We hope you can join us these meetings!

  2. Hello EJ Committee
What are the physical boundaries of West Arden Arcade? I understand they have been redefined from the image displayed on the Committee page? I ask because I live in an area that is adjacent to El Camino Ave., bounded by Cottage on the South and Howe Ave on the East, but is no longer included.
    Thank you
