Theater One’s next production is “Special Request,” directed by Lonon Smith and written by Tim Foley will be performed for the first time anywhere beginning January 4.  “Special Request” is about a dying man who makes a request of a young barista that at first offends her, then leads to an unlikely friendship based on a mutual love of the written word. Nearly everyone misunderstands their bond—not the girl’s musician boyfriend and certainly not the man’s protective older sister. This is a play about love, the paths we choose, and the legacy we leave behind.

The performances are Fridays/Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. from January 4 through January 27 in the UUSS Main Stage with no performance on Friday, January 11. General admission is $15, $13 for seniors, students and SARTA members.
