Thursday Oct 9 4:20 pm. Please join Rev. Roger and a diversity of interfaith leaders and community advocates for a public prayer vigil against inhumane targeting of immigrants by the federal administration. There will be music, prayers, and speakers to demand humane and fair treatment and insist on everyone’s constitutional rights.
ICE is holding some detainees in the basement of the federal building, though it is not designed as a detention facility. Right after the vigil, NorCal Resist will hold a noise protest so detained people in the building will know the community cares about them.
When: Thursday, Oct. 9, 4:30 pm (gather a bit early). We hope that folks leaving work will hear us and stay to learn more.
Where: 7th & Capitol Mall (near John Moss Federal Building); for transit, Gold line train to 8th & Capitol or #30 Bus to 5th & L St.
Register: go.sacact.org/PrayerVigil
