Another successful clean up by the UUSS Parkway Stewards in November

Dear UUSS Parkway Stewards and friends,

Many thanks to our crew of eleven who did the clean up on Saturday, November 8th. Our group fanned out around our UU Mile for an hour and picked up a large amount of trash,  including two heavy, large bags, chairs, and containers from an abandoned camp (thanks going to Andra Hirsch and the Mile Steward). Someone found a big stuffed Pikachu doll as part of our haul which looked pretty incongruous on top of all those trash bags. After taking the above group picture, we retired to Panera Bread and had a nice time chatting and enjoying refreshments.

Our next UUSS Parkway Stewards’ Saturday cleanup is scheduled on Saturday, December 13th beginning at 8:45am. I will send out a reminder the week of the clean up with downloadable Adult and Youth Waivers of Liability if you have not submitted one. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW.

Please join us in fulfilling our mission statement by participating in environmental service: “We come together to deepen our lives and be a force for healing in the world.”

With gratitude,

Eric Ross, Mile Steward
UUSS Parkway Stewards
