Dear UUSS Parkway Stewards and friends,

Apologies for the late recap of the 10-11-25 clean up, but it has been a busy month for me on other fronts….

Many thanks to our crew who participated in the clean up on Saturday, October 11th. Starting early, our group scoured the bike path front and back and we, despite the recent trend (yay!) of less litter, were able to pick up a not insignificant amount of trash, including a couple large bags from an abandoned camp (thanks going to Kathy Johnsen and Andra Hirsch). As noted recently, we are seeing a pattern of reduced trash because of the absence of the previous encampments along our UU mile. After taking the group picture with our collected trash, we retired to Panera Bread and had a nice time chatting and enjoying refreshments.

Our next UUSS Parkway Stewards’ Saturday cleanup is scheduled very soon this coming Saturday, November 8th beginning at 8:45am. I will send out a reminder in the next day or two with downloadable Adult and Youth Waivers of Liability if you have not submitted one. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW SO THAT YOU DO NOT OVERLOOK THAT THE SECOND SATURDAY IN NOVEMBER IS OUR NEXT CLEAN UP DAY.
