Dr. W. Wayne Wilcox passed away on Wednesday, May 23. His memorial service at UUSS is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16.
Wayne had suffered a heart attack several days earlier while he and Margaret were visiting their daughter in Riverside, and he did not respond to treatment. Wayne would have turned 80 in October. As a plant pathologist, he was professor of forestry emeritus at UC Berkeley and a consultant. In the Sacramento and foothills region, he was an active singer in both an opera chorus and barbershop ensemble, as well as at UUSS. We extend our condolences to Margaret, Melissa and Wynn and their families on this great loss of a church member we loved and enjoyed so much. More information is in the June Unigram newsletter and updates will be posted here.
