Email Scam Alert: Phishing Scams
Posted by Rev Roger
Posted on April 7, 2023
Some UUSS members have gotten emails asking for a favor. They appear to come from another member or a minister. These are “phishing” scams, which steal millions of dollars from unsuspecting people every year. The imposters will ask for you to buy gift cards and provide card information to them. We will never ask for donations or “a loan” in this way.
If you are not sure about a request, contact the named person through another means. Don’t reply directly to the imposters!
