Anyone can purchase a plaque, as long as the honoree meets the criteria described below.
Who can be honored on a plaque?
Plaques can be purchased to honor a deceased UUSS member or pledging friend, or the spouse/life partner, parent, or child of a UUSS member or pledging friend.
How many names can be listed on a plaque?
One
What can I say on the plaque?
Each plaque will list the honoree’s name (up to 23 characters, including punctuation and spaces), along with their year of birth and year of death.
Can I pre-purchase a plaque?
Plaques can be pre-purchased, but they will not be crafted or hung until after the honoree has died. While we will attempt to honor requests to place family members together, space on the wall cannot be formally reserved.
How much do plaques cost?
The cost of a single plaque is $250. $200 of the cost can be written off as a donation to UUSS.
When will I get to see my loved one's plaque?
Plaques will be hung twice a year, in the fall and in the spring.
