Board of Trustees

United in Love, Centered in Action: The Annual Pledge Drive is our most significant fundraiser and provides 75% of our annual operating budget. Please turn in your pledge by March 29! And this Sunday, March 22, please join us for a free lunch & concert at 12 noon after the service. Visit the Pledge Table in the Welcome Hall for info this Sunday and sweet treats to celebrate on March 29. Thank you for your commitment to our community!

Pacific Western Region – Regional Assembly: We are looking forward to hosting the Pacific Western Region (PWR) Assembly, Rising Resilient, on April 10-12, 2026. Registration to attend is open until April 5th. Volunteer to help out and get a discount on your registration!  Exciting news! Safety Committee

The Memorial Wall: 

We’re excited to share that construction of our Memorial Wall is proposed to begin mid-April! As a reminder, the wall will feature a mosaic art installation, individual name plaques honoring our loved ones, and a bench for contemplation — serving as a beautiful backdrop to our labyrinth and meadow, and a lasting gift for years to come.

Program Council

Searching for Our Next Soup Sunday Leaders! We are looking for a new Coordinator or a few interested people to join a small committee to share the responsibilities for Soup Sunday, which resumes in October.

Why join the team?

o   No Experience Necessary: We provide step-by-step written instructions and mentoring until you are fully off the ground.

o   Strong Foundation: You’ll lead an already helpful group of returning volunteers.

o   Impact: You’ll sustain a key pillar of our community’s fellowship.

Shared Offering: 

Thanks to your generosity, UUSS contributed $4,394 to NorCal Resist, our Community Partner for February. Every Sunday we give half of our offering donations (i.e., gifts not noted as pledge payments) to a local organization. On the fifth Sunday of each month in 2026, we share the offering with Effie Yeaw Nature Center (next one is March 29).

How to get in touch with your volunteer leaders:

Board of Trustees: Your elected Board of Trustees meets monthly. Our next meeting will be Thursday, March 26, at 6:30 PM, on Zoom (by accessing the same Zoom link as the Sunday morning services) and in-person gathering in the library. You are welcome to join us! The Board’s role is to oversee issues of UUSS finances, facilities, personnel and long-range planning; it makes decisions on policies rather than management decisions.

Save the Date: the Congregational Meeting will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, after the Sunday service, in person and on Zoom. Members will vote on a budget and elect lay leaders.
