PROGRAM COUNCIL – Watch for information from the Program Council about our annual activity fair, which is scheduled for September 7, 2025, immediately following the Ingathering Service. The Activity Fair is a celebration of our many open groups, and program council welcomes everyone to the covered patio to learn how to be more connected to congregational life!
GENERAL ASSEMBLY UPDATE – Five delegates from UUSS attended GA in June. The Actions of Immediate Witness items were passed along with a Congregational Study Action Issue and can be found on the UUA website.
Rev. Roger and our lay delegates will show this GA’s Ware Lecture and lead a discussion about the points raised by the award-winning journalist and podcaster Imara Jones. With personal passion and compelling facts, she explained that the current administration’s attacks on trans people and migrants are an early step in its plan to dismantle democratic institutions and revoke rights for other groups and civil liberties for us all. Join us Tuesday, August 12, 7:00-8:30 pm. Invite your friends!
How to get in touch with your volunteer leaders:
- Your elected Board of Trustees meets monthly. Our next meeting will be Thursday, July 23rd, at 6:30 pm, on Zoom (by accessing the same Zoom link as the Sunday morning services) and in-person gathering in the library. You are welcome to join us! The Board’s role is to oversee issues of UUSS finances, facilities, personnel and long-range planning; it makes decisions on policies rather than management decisions. You can find more information about the Board and read the minutes and Treasurer’s report here: uuss.org/board
To contact the Board, email - The Program Council meets on Zoom the third Thursday of each month. Persons interested in attending a meeting or contacting the Program Council can email
