Cards of Compassion and Connection Event

Thank you to everyone who helped to send holiday cards to the people in immigration detention at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center in Elk Grove.  Many don’t even realize that there are up to 190 detainees right here in our community.  Thanks to you, every one of them has received a holiday message this year.

Borders and Identity Conference

What a wonderful surprise to meet with Reverend Roger at the Borders and Identity conference held March 17-18 in Berkeley. I had never been to Holy Hill which is the area in Berkeley where eight seminaries of many different religions are located, among them the Episcopalians, the Dominicans, an Islamic center, and Starr-King for Unitarian-Universalists.
