UUSS – A Sacramento Church

In this film, the Standing Rock Sioux tribe tell their story on their own terms.  This movie can help us to deepen our understanding of the Indigenous People’s environmental movement, and we can learn about this work prior to Pennie Opal Plant’s visit to UUSS on June 4. Watch Trailer

Six of us from UUSS went to St. Francis de Assisi Parish for their Catholic Climate Covenant Program “Dial Down the Heat.”  We made wonderful interfaith connections and learned ways to have productive dialogue about climate change.  An evening well spent!

Join with our friends at the Sacramento Climate Sangha and other faith communities who plan to gather at the west end of the World Peace Rose Garden (which is at 15th Street and Captiol Avenue), so we can march together!  This is a UUSS Interfaith Earth Justice activity.
