The UU Book Readers will meet Tuesday, August 25, at 5:00 p.m. to discuss “She Said: Breaking the sexual harassment story that helped ignite a movement” by Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey.
We are going to vote on books for the next 4 months as well, so please send your nominations to uureaders-list@uuss.org. If you are not on the email list please request to be at uureaders@uuss.org. Please limit your suggestions to one or two books. If you suggest two, we would prefer 1 Fiction and 1 Non Fiction. If you want to vote on the books, you will need to attend the meeting.
To start you off, here are Jim Glidden’s suggestions:
“The Vanishing Half” by Brit Bennett. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/51791252-the-vanishing-half
“The Burning: Massacre, Destruction, and the the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921” by Tim Madigan. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1290396.The_Burning
Feel free to leave a comment or question about this post.
