All are welcome to “Reading and Responding to Poetry” with JoAnn Anglin on the 1st and 3rd Monday each month at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom at uuss.org/online/. On Monday, May 16, we will look at “Proof of Life”, by the late – and very much lamented – Tony Hoagland. We have enjoyed at least one of his poems before and it will be good to take in this outstanding treatment of words that are not too heavy, yet laden with meaning. See the poem here: https://www.loc.gov/programs/poetry-and-literature/poet-laureate/poet-laureate-projects/poetry-180/all-poems/item/poetry-180-145/proof-of-life/
We will gather in our UUSS Zoom room at 10:00, Monday, May 16. Enter the usual way, for another thoughtful discussion, just as you would enter an online Sunday service.
