Our next Lectio Divina Zoom is next Monday, August 29, instead of waiting until the first Monday of September, because that is the Labor Day holiday. All are welcome. I look forward to seeing you in the Zoom Room at 10:00 a.m. Join in the same way you would ‘attend’ online Sunday service, at uuss.org/online.
We’ll consider the poem What I Wouldn’t Do, by Dorianne Laux. Approaching Labor Day, let’s consider jobs we do or have done — were they a good fit? Maybe some were mistakes, but we probably learned something about the world, about ourselves. In her poem, the poet reviews the kinds of work, mostly service jobs, that helped lead her to where she is now. Do your experiences compare? Also, a variation to this series: Tuesday, September 13, at 7:00 PM, will be the first evening version. We are trying this out on the second Tuesday of each month to accommodate those who’d like to join the discussion, but lack daytime access to our current gatherings. Fortunately, there are many thoughtful poems to choose from.

UU General Assembly is held in Portland this year, but you can attend Virtual General Assembly in the Fahs Room, June 25-28.
