Join JoAnn Anglin to enjoy a poetry discussion via Zoom: uuss.org/online on Monday the 5th at 10:00 a.m. JoAnn writes:
Two Lectio Divina Sessions in December: This coming Monday, December 5, our 10:00 a.m. gathering will feature the poem, My California, by Lee Herrick, California’s new Poet Laureate. A former poet laureate for Fresno, Herrick shares his idealized vision of what California is.
Our second Lectio Divina session is in the evening of December 13, at 7:00 p.m.. For a change, we will look at a poem from the same poet. What is Sacred explores the ways that the sacred might be found, irrespective of one’s religious connection.
Both poems can be found at: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poets/lee-herrick#tab-poems. We will not have a second morning Lectio this month, (would have been on the 19th) just because there is so much happening during this season, but will return to our usual scheduling in January 2023. As always, join our friendly discussions by going to our UUSS website and entering the same way you would attend a live streaming Zoom Sunday service.
