next one: 6:30-8:15 pm on Nov. 4
Join Rev. Roger and others for monthly reflections together.
All welcome to share in reading, reflecting, an offering our personal perspectives on selected Christian scriptures. We have a wide range of backgrounds and experiences with the Bible and a variety of perspectives among the folks who show up.
No charge, but donations to Adult Enrichment programs are welcome!
If you’d like to borrow a Bible, stop by the Library/Bookstore on a Sunday and pick one up (several have been donated) on Sunday. You can also look up books of the Bible as well as selected verses at biblegateway.com.
Register at the Connections Table, where you can find citations for the readings for the next discussion.
For Nov. 4 at 6:30
Book review by Warren & Judy on Imperial Christianity.
Reflecting on this Bible passage: Luke 9:10-17 (Feeding the 5,000… or more).
ALSO:
The UUSS chapter of the UU Christian Fellowship has a communion ritual from a different tradition on the same night every month in the same room, starting at 6:00 pm. On Nov. 4, Rev. Roger and Bobbie will lead it based on the short version of the service contained in the 1937 hymnal produced as a joint effort by our previous denominations (Universalists and Unitarians).
Feel free to leave a comment or question about this post.
