Join us at 10:00 a.m. on 1st & 3rd Mondays for poetry discussion with JoAnn Anglin on Zoom at uuss.org/online. JoAnn writes: President Biden just strengthened gun sale laws. I’m guessing that most of us think that’s a good idea. This Monday’s poet – David Hernandez – speaks of the numbness we start to feel as the murder numbers increase exponentially. In his poem, We Would Never Sleep, he laments how we are “getting used to it.” Are we? He published this poem nine years ago. Let’s explore what he brings up and our knowing of this information. The poem can be seen at: https://www.thesunmagazine.org/issues/475/we-would-never-sleep
