Lectio Divina: Monday March 18

JoAnn Anglin writes: Our poem for this coming Monday is Prayer in My Boot. The poet, Naomi Shihab Nye, is widely published, a Palestinian American, and she teaches in Texas.
I didn’t really choose this for the Palestinian context, – timely as that is – but for the notion of prayer, not always a comfortable idea for many UUs. These days, both of our ministers refer to prayer, although that has definitely not always been the case.
What do you think about it, and the topics she’s chosen as worthy of prayer? Would you have a similar list, or none at all?
