Call your State Senator and ask them to support Senate Bill 634
In the past few months some of our Mercy pedalers were cited for giving sustenance to our homeless neighbors. Senators Ashby and Cabaldon, have submitted a bill that protects from criminal penalties and fines those outreach workers, street ministries, housing navigators, and so many others who offer support to those surviving on California’s streets and open spaces.
Call or write your state senator and urge them to support this bill. Find your senator here.
Check out the attached fact sheet below related to the bill!

THE bill passed the senate headed to assembly Thank God for Senator Perez one caring kind person
I feel our political leaders don’t have an incentive to help those unhoused and they don’t want to let others help because it makes them look uncaring; insensitive; and flat out selfish. Unhoused people have no value added for some politicians to care. They lack humanity and it’s up to us to safeguard those caring individuals that provide much needed assistance. Get out and vote!!!!!!
The power of prayer is also helpful.
T O Liesel with due respect, I 1000 percent disagree with you. If God had a hart, he would take care of the unhoused with out us begging for him to do so. Many prayers go unanswered.( My apologies to all, I feel or wonder if heaven or God even exist with all the evil, unkindness Hate, Racism Trump in the world and USA you wonder how he lets this happen) I certainly hope so. I just wonder some times with all the bad and no justice, poverty and greed. and climate change. My biggest fear of being homeless
