UUSS All Ages Camp 2017
Aug. 11 – 13, 2017
Great opportunity to get to know UUSS members, hang out with friends and family, and have fun in a beautiful outdoor setting!
Camp Norge – Located near Alta, CA one hour from Sacramento on highway 80 in the Sierra Foothills
Accommodations include Dorm beds, RV camping, and tent camping in the Sierra’s, about an hour from Sacramento. Camp Norge has a big meadow, some campsites with picnic tables, two meeting halls with kitchens, and a refreshing unheated swimming pool. (Shallow end is about three-feet deep. Little swimmers need a parent/guardian.) UUSS rents the entire facility and we have it all to ourselves!
Activities WILL include potluck dinner Saturday night, singing around the campfire, group pancake breakfast Sunday morning, and Sunday morning service.
Activities MAY include: weaving, yoga, adults-only swim hour, nature study, croquet, bocce ball, flag football, water rocket launching, hike to Lovers Leap, T-shirt painting. The weekend is free to enjoy the woods, play in the field, and chat with other campers. Activities are optional. It is not a highly-structured camp.
Refrigerator space is limited. Campers are encouraged to bring a cooler and ice. Food and garbage should not be left out due to bears and other wildlife. Bear-proof garbage dumpsters are on site, away from camping sites. No open flames are allowed under the trees but gas stoves are OK.
Bring your own plates and utensils and save a tree or we will supply disposable plates, cups, silverware, and paper towels for the Saturday night potluck dinner and the Sunday pancake breakfast.
