Zavian from the Kids’ Freedom Club is about to embark on a journey to India.  Together with his mom, Petra, they will spend one week volunteering with an Indian anti-slavery partner organization, TSN. TSN is one of the organizations that has received support through the fundraisers that the Freedom Club hosts and UUSS members contribute to. Zavian and Petra will be meeting with the leaders of the TSN and also visit the recovery home for girls that have been rescued from trafficking.  They will be helping TSN to plan for building a website and gaining additional supporters.  Petra will also be providing training on youth empowerment and Zavian will help capture photos for the website.  Following their week of volunteering, they will spend a week site-seeing and experiencing the culture and places of India.  Zavian and Petra will be heading out on Friday, March 31st and return home on April 16th.  They look forward to sharing their experiences with the Freedom Club members and UUSS.
