I wonder why we can’t just use the word slavery? that word has more power and makes a bigger impression on people.
I agree. It is used when advertising against slavery as a hook, or attention grabber. If there is a new word that people haven’t seen before, then they want to know what it means and look into what “human trafficking” is. they then become aware of the problem.
